My home office is in my bedroom. I've covered what I can with electrical tape but the glow still comes through. Sometimes I just throw dirty t-shirts and socks over things

I found a pair of Wrangler pants on Amazon that has front pockets that are squares of fabric sewn on the outside and they fit my entire phone with room to spare. It's the first time I've been able to put a phone in my pants pocket and walk without worrying I was bending my phone.

This. My husband is approximately the same height and weight I am; we have the same waist measurements and if I'm being honest he looks hella good in my pants.

However, I can barely get his jeans over my hips and they're too tight in the thighs. Not too mention the awkward kangaroo pouch crotch area.

We both wear men's goodfellow PJ bottoms from target (because POCKETS) and I wear a medium, he wears a small because he doesn't have hips.

Consistently relying on weed to give you an appetite can make you dependent on it to feel hungry. Note how most heavy long term smokers you know are thin as rails.

If you happen to have this problem, however, a meal replacement drink like Soylent can be a godsend. It's pretty hard to eat a nutritious 2000 calories if you have to wait until you're really high at 9pm to start eating.

Sorry for the Facebook link, I hope you can view the video.

I noticed the horses in this video all seem to be "prancing" a little bit, like the riders are struggling to stay in control of them. Dozens of horses in this parade, acting similarly.

Every horse I've seen in a parade looks calm, mellow, or bored. So, are these horses excited and happy to be there? Or are the riders forcing/encouraging this behavior? Are the horses in distress?

For context, this is part of a festival in Tomato, Portugal.

Same. TBH, I didn't really pay much attention to all the protesting. But when Bacon Reader stopped working, I started looking for a new app.

That's dark, but it makes sense.

This makes me sad. Information is being erased that will keep people who could've been helped by it from ever finding it.

The people who it will hurt the most have nothing to do with Reddit.

But why are all the blue states cold?

My husband and I thought about Arizona, or Virginia to get away from one of the highest CoL areas in the country.. but eventually decided to focus on Connecticut instead, because we don't want to be in a red state. With the exception of CA, none of the liberal states are sunny and all of them are expensive!

That's a good question about users with the same name. I haven't wanted to try other instances because I thought I'd need to think up multiple new usernames... But maybe I don't? Interesting.

The bags I get from Fred Meyer are so awkwardly shaped and crinkly I haven't been able to find another use for them. I used to reuse the old plastic bags all the time. To scoop cat litter into, small garbage can liners.. but these are wide and shallow, you can't even tie them closed. They're so ridiculous they barely hold groceries.

I am so glad to hear that! There is so much information on Reddit, my heart aches at the thought of people wiping it away.

Even during the blackouts, I sometimes googled things only to find Reddit posts with the answers weren't available to view. It was startling

My state has plastic shopping bag bans across (most of?) the state and I feel like it's completely backfired.

Now, instead of those thin plastic bags everyone used to get, people are charged 20 cents for a "reausable" bag, which is still a shitty bag that no one seriously reuses or wants, but it's thick plastic, like thick, crunchy, and indestructible. Maybe double the plastic waste.

I TRY to remember my (actual) reusable bags, I really do. But sometimes I forget and I wind up with these big thick bags I don't want to reuse and wind up throwing out or "recycling" (which probably means shippibg then to the Philippines).

I also do curbside grocery pickup frequently and the ONLY option is to get those thick "reusable" bags with your order. Otherwise the grocery employee (who can't accept tips) will need to individually place each item in my car one at a time.

The thin plastic disposable bags were better. Paper bags would be better. This 20 cents for a "reausable" bag loophole is total bullshit.

I was subbed to r/breastcancer but hope to see this community grow.

I was DX'd with breast cancer at the end of 2021 when I was 38. I had a basic course of treatment - lumpectomy followed by radiation. Afterward, it felt like no big deal and like it was all behind me... Until I was diagnosed with cancer in the other breast just one year later, at the end of 2022!

It no longer felt like a one time event and this time I removed all the offensive tissue via mastectomy. I had implant reconstruction and was fortunate to find surgeons who spared my nerves and left me with feeling in my reconstructed chest. Most women lose all sensation in that area afterwards. I'm also lucky to have had good results after having previously had radiation.

I'm three months post op and am getting on with my life. But I do my best to inform other women about sensation/nerve sparing mastectomies. Many women who have this procedure get their nerves cut, which not only causes them to be numb but can cause a lifetime of pain. Sensation sparing mastectomy is a "new" type of surgery that many surgeons will deny even exists.

That's my story! What's yours?

It's such a subtle shift they probably don't even realize it happened. But suddenly people stop reacting with joy and love when they see you and it takes a while to adjust to that

I'm using Liftoff but also checked out Connect and am trying to figure this out. (It took me multiple tries just to create an account so bear with me!). How can I find popular communities? I found a master list but it was in alphabetical order and wouldn't let me sort by subscriber count.
