When I was an intern and first moved to the city, all I had ever known was driving to get everywhere. The suburb I grew up in didn't have any public transit other than school buses.

I think for a lot of Americans (making an assumption here), they don't even consider modes other than driving. Maybe as part of orientation you can explain the public transit options available.

This is pretty unbelievable, since our local businesses are all hurting downtown, and it only seems alive when we block off vehicle traffic during special events.

Promise you these businesses would be the ones protesting if they tried to remove 12 parking spaces to replace them with a bike lane.

But yeah, I love an "activated pedestrian square" with no means of access other than driving.

Lebron's aura was the only thing keeping AD from falling apart.

Nothing. Sorry. I was unclear. They've extended their ban on new buildings taller than 50'.

Same city that recently extended their 50' building height limit (despite already having several apartment buildings taller than that).

Confusingly, Mexico's official name is Estados Unidos Mexicanos. You could accurately describe a Mexican as Estadounidense, if you wanted to be a pedant.

A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It's where the rich use public transportation.

I think it highlights the money-grubbing absurdity of Formula 1 that Zandvoort is going to be allowed to drop off the calendar while Max is still racing.

Think about how much they must be charging tracks to host events for it not to be worth it to host a home race for a driver with one of the most rabid fanbases I've ever seen.

This is right next to Central Park. He could ride his bike (or his e-bike) through what is widely considered one of the most beautiful urban parks in the world without having to worry about cars or red lights.

The subway is also fine. It's by no means a public toilet on rails. The platforms are a bit grungy, but inside the cars it's comparable to London or Paris.

In addition to the subway, there are no less than 4 bus routes along Madison & 5th Avenues.

What flag does he race under?

don't forget you also have to beg the freight companies to let you run those trains

I honestly thought it was going to be Adams, but I definitely knew it wasn't going to happen.

It's exciting to see that there are actual plans from the new owners of the Lloyd Center.

This seems to not be based on safety at all and is probably Mapps and Williams spending money PBOT doesn't have because of complaints by business owners that are not based on data.

Exactly the kind of stupid decisions I expected Mapps to make when Teddy appointed him.
