Or, just don't have those IDs by not having accounts. Nobody's identifying me by my Facebook ID if I don't have one. Simples

I toyed with this idea, but the directory structures are completely different, and they both keep their own databases. If one updates images, the other database will be out of sync. IMHO, it's best to keep them separate

I don't have anything specific, self-hosting is a big subject. I recommend checking out https://lemmy.world/c/selfhosted / [email protected] There's a lot of helpful folks over there

Arc Browser is better for USERS. Ad companies are just going to have to figure it out. Sounds like a "them" problem to me

So is having a question and going out to find the answer yourself. I can only speak from a web dev perspective, but being able to answer your own questions via research is a huge skill and very useful in the workplace. It's also a great way to get different opinions on how things should be done. Your professor isn't always right

Sorry, had to make that a bit more accurate. For all those wondering how futile voting for anything other than the two major parties is, these are the ones that did the best https://www.thoughtco.com/most-successful-independent-presidential-candidates-3367561

It basically comes down to: voting independent = voting republican. I'm not saying that's always the case, but it seems to be the trend that voting outside the two major parties is stealing votes from the democrats
