It was the price of getting ~~Finland~~ Sweden into NATO unfortunately.

The F16/ to turkey was quid pro quo for Turkey to let ~~Finland~~ Sweden into nato. Which of course made the Greeks unhappy, so we sold them weapons so they weren’t unhappy and could defend against Turkish aggression. It also makes them a more capable ally.

They may not like the taxes as much though - there’s a ton of industry and some finance there that might just leave.

Is one of those restrictions that the woman, who can’t go anywhere without a male relative, has no say?

Charity is a big talking point for Rs too, they just don’t think the state should do any of it. Lots of them still tithe.

Which countries are shining examples of Islam at work? I’m having a hard time coming up with any that don’t have staggering wealth inequality.

Abortion, abstinence, women’s subservience. American Arabs vote democrat because the republicans would be happy if they were dead.

But if you asked a practicing Muslim and a republican for their views on a wide range of issues except which god you worship, you’ll find there are many more similarities than you are suggesting.

Famous for their distributing the wealth to people who need it, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar are positively wonderful places for the working class 🙄

Excel is, almost certainly, the single most important and influential piece of software in almost every business.

Excel can do anything, including so many things it shouldn’t.

You’re getting downvotes, presumably from people who haven’t spent any time in NorCal. This is a problem everywhere there from Oakland, to SF, to Palo Alto and San Jose. No where in the bay in safe from this.

No locals leave anything of value in there car for any amount of time.

I learned that in 2013 when my rental was broken into in a fancy Palo Alto restaurant.

But these aren’t violent crimes, which I think are declining, just property crimes.

They don’t prosecute or investigate car break ins there.

No one leaves anything of value not in the trunk for any length of time. Like you literally can’t run into the store for a minute.

They agree on a lot of things - but the color of their skin and the god they respectively worship is a real big divide.

For anyone on the outside who doesn’t care which god or skin color, they look practically identical.
