Healthcare in the US is terrible, but part of that is how much providers can charge. Healthcare providers aren’t able to charge as much in communities where it’s considered a basic human right. If she practices outside the US her earnings will probably not be as high - and thats even considering the insurance healthcare providers need to carry to account for lawsuits.

It’s worth noting, keeping your citizenship means paying US federal income taxes, regardless of where you live and work.

That’s crazy. I haven’t been able to log in recently but it sounds like I’m still not missing anything worth experiencing.

If that happened I missed it. There was never much traffic so I rarely checked it. The participants never came off as intolerant.

I also came here when all the API drama happened. I also checked out Sqabblr, which had a different name at first. There wasn’t much here and I was confused by the fediverse. I went on Facebook and that was a hot mess of garbage.

I went back to Reddit recently and it’s noticeably worse - probably a combination of chasing away great mods and our world just being what it is makes for people being awful at each other rather than at problems.

I’ve just come back here this weekend and there seems to be more resources to help me understand the nature of the fediverse. Ideally I won’t be back to Reddit.

Sorry to ramble, hope you have a great week!

Impressive. Were you also posting on Sqabblr?

Don’t even take chicken pox lightly. It gives you shingles later in life. I have epilepsy as a result of getting chicken pox.

That just makes this even more sad than I already thought - how many honest women were deemed harlots because they were tortured into a miscarriage?

I’m sure it has nothing to do with Bentleys getting uglier while other luxury cars are getting cooler looking.

OLGA rocked. I’d forgotten all about it.

This. Especially in modern first-world nations. There are plenty of resources for the wealthy to still be wealthy and everyone to have at least economic security.

A better challenge would be, “this isn’t a choice-based abortion and not a direct, meaningful challenge to modern, destructive, pro-life positions.”

However it is interpreted, though, it does contradict the first principle upon which pro-life positions are based that any abortion is murder and therefore prohibited. My short time on this platform has led me to assume the average commenter is not capable of nuance and therefore assumes any contradiction is a stance on the polar opposite - I therefore must spend this sentence clarifying I believe the first principle of pro-lifers is absolutely false.

The passage literally has ingredients of wheat, holy water, and church dust with instructions for use.
