I was really enjoying this game until it introduces the "keep this thing dry" mechanic and then instantly lost interest.
Enjoy. Along with Lovecraft they were my introduction to reading and so hold a special place for me, it is about time I revisited them as it has been a while!
I have never delved into Tarzan as the general theme just does not appeal to me in the slightest so I always ignored it despite it being his most famous works.
Caspak is an island within a wall that surrounds one of the poles that contains dinosaurs and sort of lizard creatures. It is kind of like a hollow earth sort of book but instead of being inside the earth it is locked behind this almost impenetrable wall on the surface.
I am also going to hopefully delve into his Pelucidar books soon too, which is an actual hollow earth story. I've always wanted to read them but have never gotten around to it. The series actually has a cross over book where Tarzan visits Pelucidar so that will probably be my first and only Tarzan book!
I absolutely love both the Caspak trilogy and The Princess of Mars books by Burroughs, I'll have to check this out! :)
I unfortunately went in the opposite direction through my work life. I used to work a 3 day week for around 6 years and then after that a 4 day week up until 2020.
After this I had to go to working a 5 day week and honestly it is fucking miserable in comparison. I now feel like I have barely any time to pursue my hobbies and things I actually want to do in my life. I used to be able to have a whole day of just relaxing and not achieving a lot at all, another day to get any productive shit I needed to get done in my life such as food shopping, laundry etc and then I would still have another two days for hobbies or socialising or whatever else.
I was also around more when others would be organising one off activities meaning I didn't have to say no to as many things.
In comparison I know feel like I am either constantly doing things to try and fit in everything I want to do which consequently has a knock on effect on my sleep. At weekends one day is inevitably taken up with shit I need to do leaving me only one day for myself and often I'm too fucking tired from the other 6 days in the week so often end up doing fuck all rather than the things I truly enjoy.
Additionally anything I do go to do be it necessary like food shopping or just an activity it is now a fight amongst other people because the majority of people are off the same two days which in turn makes things even more miserable to do where as in the past I could go during the day on a Monday or whatever when the majority of people were at work.
In short it fucking sucks. I'm now more tired more often and aren't able to pursue anywhere near as many things that I actually WANT to do.
There is also [email protected] but I only post in there very occasionally, may be worth adding to try and increase activity :)
Hey man, thanks for shouting out [email protected]
To anyone interested I post every day primarily focusing on new releases and sticky a new mix each week on a Monday morning.
I mostly stick to the "real dubstep" sound which is the evolution of the classic dubstep sound that came about in the early 00's as that is my wheelhouse.
I welcome posts of any other kind though be it brostep (the sound most people consider dubstep that was popularised in the 2010's by the likes of Skrillex), Riddim or some dubstep adjacent Leftfield Bass.
Dubstep is very diverse as a genre and that robots fighting sound that was most popular is just a fraction of the styles that are out there. Either way, give it a try, you might find something new and interesting that you didn't know existed :D
In the mean time enjoy one of my favourite tracks from the last couple of years, dubstep with a strong west asian sound - Zha - Ramta Jogi
Haha I think bunkbeds might be a tough sell xD I'm also 191cm tall and they usually have bars around the head and foot which makes for even more uncomfortable sleeping than being next to someone.
I'll just look forward to the possibilities of the future! Enjoy your setup :p
I agree however you over estimate how much space we have and that isn't a viable option either unfortunately.
I saw this comment after responding to you, apologies for the inaccurate information. I just wasn't aware that there was an option for this, my mistake :)
This has been spoken about a lot in our household and I wish the day would come sooner. Sadly I doubt we will have the money to afford anywhere with more space anytime soon so I'll be sleeping like shit until then. Sleeping in the same bed as someone else is over rated!
Once you are around 10 or 15 missions into the game they introduce a mechanic where the alarms are water sensitive and you have to try and build things around the alarms using planks etc to try and stop them from getting wet. Getting them wet causes the alarm to go off.
Up until that point I was really enjoying figuring out a route, preparing and trying to pull off the goals within the time before the police show up etc. After the first "dont let this thing get wet mission" I stopped playing and never picked it up again as I hated the idea. It was a shame.
