Isn't that true of Google?

I don't hold high chances that he follows through

Nobody cares about Ackman

The article talks about that

Helldivers 2, which is otherwise excellent.

Also dude, I just spent 8 hours trying every last weird hack that I could find on the internet, including editing the registry to try to get a Windows game to work on Windows 10. It would just crash on a fresh install of Windows. Steam on Linux worked flawlessly, riddle me that Batman, Linux was able to do better at Windows than Windows.

Like the Internet?

Signaling non-compliance? There is a vast gap between actually resisting and signaling. Signaling is not resisting. It's free speech, constitutionally protected, significant case law behind it, and not actually resisting.

It's called free speech. It's quite simple the difference between free speech and resistance. Resistance in this context would be actually fighting physically to get away from a lawfully parameterized arrest. Even when under arrest, if someone were to say I'm not going with you, that is not resisting. By saying come arrest me that is not resistance. That is simply a taunt or a command or a suggestion or a joke or sarcasm or any other method of constitutionally protected free speech, not in the least bit resistance.

Are you responding to the comment about Rosa Parks? Because if so then I have responded to the wrong thing

I was just following orders... Look it up

Except if it's done against Republicans, then it's funny

The Trump administration’s recent announcement that the Environmental Protection Agency will roll back dozens of regulations protecting air and water quality has drawn praise from industry groups and condemnation from environmentalists. But one stakeholder has been conspicuously absent: the self-described health freedom movement known as MAHA.

Considering Trump is threatening to pull EV subsidies, the time to take advantage is in the next three months, at minimum. Considering the fact that Elon is going to do everything he can to favor Tesla, the fact that the US tariffs prohibit any cars coming in from China, and the very real possibility that the US might take a step back from broad BEV adoption.... it feels like the safest bet is to get a PHEV for now. Especially considering it would be my only vehicle, and I need to occasionally take longer 5+hr trips, and charging infrastructure is dodgy at best still.

I want to avoid Teslas, and I want to avoid the Prius (had the Prime, too many issues with the air conditioning smelling like socks), what are good options that are actually available in the US? Does anyone have any first-hand experience to share?

Unfortunately, being stuck in the USA means I cannot access the interesting Chinese EV models coming out. If I have a great distaste for all things Elon, what is there left that is even worth considering? Kona?

I am getting a regular feed of news, which is nice, but I need more variety and some suggestions of good lemmy communities, what are some that one must be subscribed to?

[email protected] used to be a feed posting things from the orange site. It stopped 3 months ago. Does anyone know how to get it back in action, or is there another somewhere else I can subscribe to?

Thank you for such a great app

I know you all are dealing with DDoS and how that goes. I run DDoS mitigation for some juicy targets and do a lot of on-call response to handle those issues, so believe me when I say I know what you are dealing with.

However, that being said, it appears you are blocking tor exit nodes with a 403, likely at your web termination point (nginx, apache, whatever), and this kind of sucks.

I get that tor can bring some attacks, and I fully support a modulated response to those attacks, preferably one with a reasonable time decay, but please don't just block all of tor

Alternatively, be one of the cool kids, and setup an onion service for lemmy.world!

I had a few replies to some posts, got the bell icon, read some of them, but then it brought me to a thread... Which took me away from my notifications. Now I can't get back to them, and can't figure out how to get back to them

I've got local and all feeds, but no way to just see a feed of the communities I've subscribed to. I swear this was an option before, but I cannot find it. Am I just unable to see it?
