I don't think compiling from source is easy even on Linux. Whenever I try it whatever program I'm trying to compile just refuses to compile, even though I seem to have all of the necessary programs for it. I can't recall successfully compiling anything other than suckless tools, which have basically no dependencies.

Isn't AnimeBytes one of the hardest private trackers to get into?
I was beginning to fear the channel ran it's course, this looks amazing. I hope it's a sign Uncle Derek hasn't ran out of topics yet.
I'll check it out. I still need to read Elfquest.
Oh yeah, the Geoff Johns stuff. I didn't know Halo and Hornsby was by them too. I didn't read any of their books yet (I usually wait until a series is done or has a large enough backlog) though they didn't give me 80s indie comic vibes when I saw them.
I think the old independet comics scene was just different, not better or worse. It'd be great to see more 80s style indie comics made again, but I wouldn't want them to replace what we have now.
I think I actually like it more than Super Mario Kart.
No? It's a metaphor for an "uplifting" story that's not actually uplifting at all since it's "about someone remedying the immediate effects of a sociopolitical issue that ignore the root cause of said issue."
Sometime ago somebody posted a news story about X person/organisation paying off the lunch debt of pupils. That was an orphan crushing machine moment, why can a kid in elementary school have "lunch debt" in the first place?
This is not that, one could argue it's not that uplifting but it has nothing to do with orphan crushing machine.
I never felt the need to use a GUI for it, it's very easy to use.
Also the site itself is ancient, searching for stuff sucks over there.
C buttons are meant for camera controls so a good amount of games did have fewer buttons to use. And dpad's positioning meant for most games it served no use at all. There is no reason both couldn't have been on the same handle.
It's not as bad as I thought it was yesterday when I wrote without thinking about it too much but it's still a big step down from the SNES controller. There is a reason a lot of people prefer modern replacements like Brawler64
I heard about Super Meat Boy quite a bit, it always popped up in must play indie games lists. I never heard of Trine before, so it's definitely not the same.
