For anyone not already aware, we have a game thread over at c/nyknicks as well. Not trying to hijack this thread, just wanted to make folks aware of the knicks community too!

We also have our match thread at c/liverpool as well. There can obviously be two threads, but just wanted to share this in case there are any reds that weren't aware of our community too:

On a similar note, has the bot's code been made public? I'd love to institute something similar for c/nyknicks just for knicks games

I like consolidating the conversation for now, given the size of the community and volume of posts a separate game and post-game thread would create. I think it makes sense to have a single game thread that is used for both intra and post game discussion. The bot can update the post body to reflect the final box score once the game is over (assuming that is possible) or leave the box score in a reply to the original post.

Ah, I don't notice a paywall. But here is a paywall-free just anyways: https://archive.ph/RXmVW

Also, how do people feel about hoopshype? I get that often times it's just aggregating Tweets, but I've been sharing links from there over Twitter because 1) not everyone can see Twitter links anymore and 2) the post titles on Lemmy actually autogenerate as opposed to Twitter.

I'm not sure actually. Still figuring that out

Haha I appreciate that!

I might recommend we pin this post or pin a new post about this topic (maybe replacing the existing pinned thread announcing the bot). I worry your comment and ask for community feedback and discussion will get lost amidst the rest of the comments.
