Govts in India create large and expensive infra projects based on what the current political party, bureaucracy, private companies, international banks/ funding agencies want. Project sustainability, cost, environmental feasibility, land rights of the indigenous residents, fragility & biodiversity of the hills don't matter.
The first Teesta III dam was destroyed in an earthquake, as this is a seismically active zone. Environmnetal and technical experts warned against building the 2nd Tessta III dam (this one that has burst), because of the danger that any of the 313 glacial lakes upstream were growing larger due to theglacier melting and would burst in a GLOF incident (which just happened). Sikkimese people who had lived for generations in the hills were displaced, their land rights ignored, and the unique fragile biodiversity of the land laid to waste. Yet, India's enviromental ministry gave it the go-ahead and the project is classified as a green, clean and renewable energy. The Teesta III project also cost more than the GDP of the state of sikkim where it is/was located.

The New York Times failed to include PSF’s categorical denial of foreign funding, and instead left readers to believe that the source of PSF’s funding (or Roy’s for that matter) might have come from China, rather than from the sale of ThoughtWorks. Their salacious headlines and misleading ‘reporting’ have now directly contributed to the arrest of innocent journalists.
Given the repression that is now taking place, it begs the question as to whether India is a safe place for foreign investors who carefully follow Indian law.
Shouldnt that first one be called Portugander?
She looks mischievous..
You also dont think India needs any international goodwill because USA needs it to fight China, so India can around assassinating foreign citizens at will.
There's either some fucked up thinking going on or you're trying to dwnplay and minimize the impact of India's planned & organized assassination of a foreign national.
I like your stuff. Your first one was very relatable. this one too in a existentialist testing the limits sort of way.
keep up the good work.
scientific answer : blep is accidental and lazy. mlem is purposeful . Like Bagel sticking its tongue out at OP (and us) / tasting the air.
it's an abuser's trait. Lundy Brancroft taught me that in his book 'Why does he do that?'
so thats why tea made from teabags tastes like an accident.
