Damn that thing is weird. It misunderstood "what's up?" and opened WhatsApp. I asked it to open another app and it replied:

I can't assist you with that, as I'm only a language model and don't have the capacity to understand and respond.

I thought "understand and respond" was the whole point but ok...

Then I asked it to open GitHub.com and it say yeah sure: here's Google map.

That thing is way too stupid to be used as an assistant.

And if you're looking for something that's actually useful there's Sampler.

Can confirm. It was the coldest wettest summer I ever experienced.

The hive in my garden haven't produced enough to sustain themselves and had to be fed. We had no spring honey at all, and summer production is bleak, our beekeeper told us he was probably not even going to bother harvesting it. The bees still need to make it through winter.

The idea is that there is untold trillions worth of existing infrastructure and tools that are designed to be operated by humanoids, so the hope is that by designing it close to a human form it will be able to perform task in an environment designed for human without having to design a different robot for each task.

Basically the idea is to create a robot that is good enough at doing a lot of things instead of one that is super efficient at one thing like the ones we use in industry right now.

There are a lot of use cases, but they all assume the robots reach a certain level of precision, speed and adaptability, which we are still far from.

Yes dear, but if you take 2 minutes to understand how the threaded comment system works you will realize I was not talking about the article but replying to a specific comment who mentionned the age of "18" as some kind of cutoff date.

People who use age as a measure of intelligence are the proof that is doesn't work. ;)

It probably do that when it spontaneously combust in your pocket.

Done and done.

I really feel like I fell in a time machine and I'm reading and article from 2018 since digital price tags have been the norm in my country for years.

Just throw an arri LPL mount on the pixel 10, so I can mount my 45-132 T2.8 lens on it and call it a bump.
