President Trump’s angry call on Tuesday for the impeachment of a federal judge who ruled against his administration on deportation flights has set off a string of near-instant social media taunts and threats, including images of judges being marched off in handcuffs.

 

Turkish authorities identified 261 social media accounts, including 62 based abroad, for "provocative posts" following the detention of Imamoglu and 105 others, and were continuing efforts to track down the remaining suspects, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on X.

 

Controversial facial recognition company Clearview AI attempted to purchase hundreds of millions of arrest records including social security numbers, mugshots, and even email addresses to incorporate into its product, 404 Media has learned.

For years, Clearview AI has collected billions of photos from social media websites including Facebook, LinkedIn and others and sold access to its facial recognition tool to law enforcement. The collection and sale of user-generated photos by a private surveillance company to police without that person’s knowledge or consent sparked international outcry when it was first revealed by the New York Times in 2020.

 

An FBI agent who accused the bureau of political bias during Donald Trump’s first presidential term was arrested this week at a New York airport and charged with illegally disclosing confidential documents, court filings show.

Johnathan Buma, a 15-year FBI veteran and counterintelligence specialist, is accused of printing roughly 130 files from internal FBI networks in 2023 and sharing them with associates as part of a book he was writing about his career, according to a court filing.
