ctrl+shirt+t truly is a lifesaver

Just managed to push it out before midnight, now it's 0:04.

Audio-only and instrumental versions are available on my soundcloud, all under CC-BY.

~~technically there's also an a capella version, but that's privated~~

Video is "low effort", but still took almost 7 hours to make (starting with writing out the lyrics on paper, scanning the papers, editing and cutting up the images, yada-yada-yada, rendering the video, and finally running through ffmpeg again because I changed my mind on one thing and using an ffmpeg filter was faster then re-rendering).

I don't remember ever finding an actice CC art (whether it's music, photos, videos or anything) subreddit, but Lemmy should be the perfect place for it and would complement FOSS development communities nicely.

update: [email protected] has been created.

sina ken ala ken sitene? sina wile ala wile sitelen? sina ken li wile, la o sitelen e sitelen sewi suli pona!

Can you draw? Do you want to draw? If you can and want, then draw a new banner for this community!

The original banner was made in 5 minutes, 4 of which was looking for a font (which is Macondo). It was later changed by removing the icon from it. The colors used in the icon are

  • yellow: #feff00
  • blue/indigo: #5b00ff

If you agree, I kind of like the icon and would like to keep it for now, but the banner is just, for the lack of a better term, very very very bad.

Feel free to reach out, and any other suggestions/ideas are welcome in the comments.

I think* the basic idea is that there'd be specialized hosts/instances for certain broader topics, OR just allowing to create close "communities" by disallowing cross-intance interactions.

It could be confusing for a while, but I think in time things will mostly normalize in one way or another and the concept of "rival subreddits" were already a thing.

*: I'm also new here, so all of this is just conjecture

Due to Reddit being jaki, I propose this community to serve as an open replacement. Currently there are no long-term plans and I have admittedly no experience with moderating/running a ~~subreddit~~ community, so help would we welcome.

Icon and banner art by me, font used in banner is Macondo.
