Definitely not. They have outdone themselves this year even if the playoffs don't happen (which they likely won't.)

Looking forward to next year with less injuries and a little more experience under their belts.

Now slightly back of the Giants in the final wildcard spot (same record, lost tiebreaker.)

1.5 back of the last wildcard spot (with Arizona 1 back themselves.)

Pretty important homestand here.

The Cincinnati Reds had to come from behind once again, but it’s what they’ve done all year and they made it happen. They would take the lead in the 4th inning and put the game away in the 8th when Matt McLain hit a 2-run homer to extend the lead to 7-3. That would be the final score as the Reds went into Los Angeles and swept the Angels in their 3-game series.

Who is still holding out hope?

I gotta say that after yesterday I just don't see it happening. I think the Cubs have an easy run-in and won't drop many and we seem to have fallen off (though I don't blame Hunter yesterday as coming back after all that time was bound to be rough.)

That said, I am excited for next year. With this group of guys and if we shore up pitching, should be fun and hopefully successful.

Unfortunately we need to get in gear as we sit tied in 2nd with the Cubs and 3.5 back of the Brewers.

Disappointing series against the Cubs for sure. Hopefully we turn it around this weekend.

pretty corrupt and sick to just give up like that imo

clearly the clubhouse feels the same way, cause my god what an awful finish to the cubs series

Reds back to winning ways. Tough game but still pulled it out.

Let's go Reds

Rumors that he is said to be available for trades.

Quite frankly I think we'd be moving on too quick. India is solid and there is no guarantee that any of the up and comers will pan out. I see no reason to trade him now.

Thoughts?

What a game. Back to back to back homers secure a fourth straight win.

That makes seven straight road series won.
