Hello Discmaniacs,

i am searching for a small backpack for short trips that is capable of holding 8 - 10 discs. I hate having only that much discs in a normal disc golf backpack because they are all falling around in there. Additionally a little space for a towel and a mini would be nice. Maybe some place for a water bottle. Is there something like that on the market?

MPO and FPO. Calvin and Kristin seem like the easy picks. I'm going to throw out Missy Gannon and Simon Lizotte. Missy has been solid this year and I don't know if Tattar is 100% healthy. Simon seems to be peaking at the right time.

This is really shitty. The linked petition has the details, but the short version is that Stafford Woods, consistently ranked as the best course in New Jersey, is on the verge of being removed.

Hi,

New to the game. What is your recommended app that has garmin features. I tried udisc but the app seems very cluttered, not intuitive user interface. Thanks for any tips

What is this community's thoughts on the MPO Player of the Year? Does Calvin's absurd consistency keep him over Gannon's tournament wins?

The price for UDisc Pro has doubled to $30. Free users will now be able to create unlimited scorecards, however will lose access to historical scorecards/stats.

As someone who values their stats to see how they are improving(mainly putting), this is disappointing.

In a major reversal, the Disc Golf Pro Tour has reinstated the FPO divisions at all upcoming tournaments under a new “United Series” designation that will permit Natalie Ryan and other transgender women to compete in FPO at select events.

Cancelling FPO at some the most iconic tournaments was such a brain dead decision. Even if you have legitimate concerns about the competitive fairness of allowing transgender participation in FPO, it is clearly much more sensible to let Natalie play than to torch the entire division.

Shameful decision in my opinion. I can’t believe they’d rather burn the entire division to the ground than let one transgender competitor play.

Hello Everyone!

I was introduced to disc golf last year, and immediately fell in love. I purchased a cheap Sportneer beginner's set on Amazon and have been using that since.

Since last summer I have lost all but my putters, and figured this is a great time to start building a bag! Would you folks have any advice on discs/molds you would recommend? Would a Putter, mid range and driver suffice?

I'm still new and have a long way to go as far as my form, I throw predominantly RHBH, but I have a pretty solid forehand as well.

I'm excited to be a part of the community thanks for having me!

Figured i would try to get some discgolf posts going on lemmy. Got my second ace ever with this one.

Love the eclipse reactor! I am also happy with how this dye turned out.

What is everyones favorite disc purchase this year? I am really digging this Zone release myself. Show off your favorites or talk about discs that hit the sweet spot in your bag!

Anybody else have a go to disc for water shots that you originally would throw because you did not care about losing it, but now it has survived so many times you've become attached to it?

My local courses have pretty thick underbrush as well as several creeks... Im just getting started in the hobby, and wondered what retrieval tools yo7 guys would recommend.

Wanted to chat a little about DDO, but don't want to get anyone upset!

I live closest to South Mountain in PA. I learned to give some shape and give just the right amount of rip (usually). I recently had one of my worst rounds there during a tags league (+16?) after getting +3-6 the few weeks prior. The more active people around the area don't mind the non-obvious lines and enjoy the challenge relative to the general hole length. It feels like most of the players who are visiting for a round or two always complain about the "lack" of lines; I'm sure I've played other courses where I'm guilty of the same to some regular! I keep going back, and not just because it's close. Although, I do still have to learn to throw more accurate bombers on open courses. What's your favorite local or regular course recommendation that "non-locals" seem to dislike? What are your recommendations for first time throwers?
