My partner and I are really struggling. There are so many shitty places in the city… the few good spots go away immediately. I’m wondering if people are offering over asking for rentals…

"Regular" people have had their cars vandalized for daring to move private white cones to use street parking along Billionaires Row

An interesting local oddity, and owned by a native son nonetheless!

They still had some eggs that were $9.99 for a dozen but it was nice to see them for under $7.

I did recently wake up early one day and go to Costco before they open just to get two dozen eggs for $7.69.

Mission grocery outlet on south van ness seems like a good choice for eggs right now.

The building, 1687 Market Street, "...will be transformed into affordable housing for artists"

Built in 1925, McRoskey used to manufacture their mattresses in the steel framed building until "the early 2000s", and the ground floor has served as their showroom.

Spice 24 has only been open less than a year, but I've already noticed their food has been declining in quality, becoming much more oily. Now they've been shut down for 10 days due to mice. I would go here because it was $5-$10 cheaper than mission curry house, but now I'm considering not coming back.

The bill walks back SB 946, which in 2018 decriminalized street vending across the state. The legislation was crafted by Los Angeles legislators to protect street vendors from police harassment.

Huh, I didn't know that happened.

LA cops are bastards though.

When you come across them.

No, the City government didn't build them.

Archived version for posterity.

The photo was sent to the NY Times by her father "Thomas D’Alesandro Jr., a prominent politician in Baltimore" who served as mayor for 12 years, to announce her engagement to Paul Pelosi.

She hadn't changed her last name yet, so the photo was filed under her maiden name "Nancy D'Alesandro".

She looks so young in that '60s hairdo!

I noticed a bug bite on my leg today. It's surprising to me because I thought it was currently too cold for mosquitos to live. Where I live, we do frequently get mosquitos in the summer, but not typically when it's this cold.

Also, the bite is in a unique spot. It's right below my knee. they typically prefer my hands/arms or my ankles.
