Definitely, but I'm not the one insisting "we just need to talk it out and then everything will be perfect".

What is the alternative? Tens of millions of people are voting for nazis because of propaganda

I dont think constantly insulting them makes them stop voting for nazis

I'm not saying insulting people will convince them of anything, but I don't think trying to talk it out works either. I don't know the solution.

What is the alternative?

Collective action. But apparently that is too hard for most Americans.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

But how do you convince people to do that?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You apparently don't. Not in America. That's the problem.

(Unless you believe a very obviously not stolen election was stolen. Then I guess it's collective action time.)

If people got convinced to vote for a nazi, couldnt they be convinced the other way?

Also, this is a global problem, not just in the USA

Couldn't they? Possibly. Will Americans do the hard work it takes? Almost certainly not.

Is convincing people collective action?

If this doesnt work, what else is there to do?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

Who do you think is going to convince them at this point?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

It's not likely. MAGA republicans are so entrenched in their beliefs that it's incredibly difficult, especially since half of what they're peddling is religiously motivated.

You have to somehow get past those two very thick layers of brainwashing to get anywhere. They think giving in is an attack on both their religion and their children ("they're gonna trans our kids!" or whatever).
