They’ll never admit it. We will just notice the trump flags coming down. And eventually they’ll say they were never for it. But it may take decades.
But they will still vote republican if they can

Literally what happened last term. They all believed their own bullshit even though they voted for him all three times. The collective amnesia is real.
They 1984 themselves out of self preservation because admitting they are capable of making mistakes is in stark contrast with their ego.
I'm not sure if it's a new phenomenon or the internet has just made it easier to spot but there are vast swaths of people who live their lives with zero doubts of their past present and future, despite a third party view displaying massive incongruent behavior.
Attributing it to stupidity understates what is being observed here. It is an all encompassing psychosis.

We can not let them just slide past like they weren't into fascism, something has to be done as punishment.
That's not very 'Murican. Traditionally we just sweep that shit under the rug and let if fester for about 50 years before finding a new way to blow up in our faces because we've never addressed the undercurrent of fascism that existed in this country before they even coined the word.
