I’m not a nuclear guy or anything, but suit and containment unit? Seems unnecessary and would make the hands very unwieldy through 2 pairs of gloves.

Suits are to keep you safe, glove boxes are to keep the things inside them safe. Also never seen them used together though, you're right about that.
