Police and parking patrol are two totally different divisions in my city.

Dads an adult they can learn and pass the knowledge on.

… where do you think the battery’s would be stored and charged…? Either on a structure above ground, so drive up on it, or underground and it would already be excavated…

The extra infrastructure would be there for the changing and charging already, adding the lift or hole is moot and a fraction additional cost.

And forklifts figured this out well over 5 decades ago this isn’t some engineering unicorn that they need to figure out from the ground up. The techs all over the place already.

You check your shortcut file size before opening it every time? Why would you even be suspicious in the first place?

[–] SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

They don’t because no one would pay double the price for a worse vehicle dude…. To undercut them, they would need to tank their profit, which obviously for good reason, no company would do, it’s also hella illegal to boot regardless. So to answer why? It’s fucking illegal dude lmfao. You clearly have a axe to grind, and aren’t even looking at the actual data, just the bias in front of you regarding “China”.

People are free to import and buy them, what don you think is stopping them…? Its because it’s a more expensive inferior product. There’s no hidden thing here, there’s no conspiracy. You just can’t understand that China makes cheaper stuff, fullstop.

[–] SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

What…? Lots of vehicles are sold online without dealerships, where’s this an actual rule, let alone a law?

[–] SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

If I want some gourds and stuff I should start them earlier, but if you start them 6-8 weeks before last frost they should be some monsters ready to transplant.

Still gives ~90 days growing, so there’s obviously some stuff that can’t be grown without a cold frame or season extenders.

Okay, and factually their labor and parts are cheap. Your own source even says that this a major factor.

And you do realize every country subsidizes auto makers yeah? How much did the USA and EU countries do in same time frame…?

[–] SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (2 children)

Read your own source maybe?

For its part, China has declared the EU subsidy probe a protectionist maneuver by Europe, saying that its automakers are winning because they make better products. Of course, even the study’s author say that the rapid adoption of green tech in Europe in particular is due in large part to cheap goods coming from China.

The source is also a German investigation? So it may not even be entirely factual either dude…

They can drop the battery out from underneath…. You’re not seriously suggesting that this would be done by users and not automatically? The easiest place for this would be exactly where it is now, underneath EVERYTHING.

It’s not like you are gonna man handle the battery yourself in and out of these dude.

The precedence is there, there’s scooters that already utilize this exact exchanging. Hell forklifts figured this out decades ago… and you want to make it sound like it would be an issue in todays age? Semis have used it for years too, why do you think they would go back to manually doing it? Even if the batteries were light enough to move by hand, you would spend more time unplugging and plugging them back in than it would be to charge them….

They aren’t manipulating, shits just cheaper to make over there. So they can make more profit and still charge less.

Grabbed some seeds during a valentines sale, they are just pricey otherwise (over $10 a seed for decent genetics) it still came out to $255Cad.

Haul is all fem:

10x bubble kush from RQS

10x Powerflower from RQS

3x legendary OG Punch RQS

5x White Widow AUTOs RQS

And the freebies which appear to come From Canuks seeds are:

2x Strawberry Banana

2x Fruity pebbles.

I mainly picked RQS as I got them in my last round and was happy with the genetics, they were also one of the 40% breeders, so bonus. The Kush is just for some nice dense buds, the power flower seemed like a nice hash producer and the White Widows were only available in autos, but I like messing with them once in a while.

The Legendary OG Punch is just a beautiful strain, and paid out the butt for these ones.

I’ve grown some Canuk seeds before, the autos went south on me, but that could have been grower problems, but free is free.

Processing about 2.4kg of fresh frozen cannabis.

My technique definitely needs to be improved, but that’s why we do this stuff and learn right?

I’m washing it 4 batches of 600g each. Next time I’ll probably make them smaller still.

I also feel like I am adding too much ice, even though I add less each time… the stuff frosts up and I’m sure it’s not getting the stuff in between the denser buds.

Even though, the returns are decent I would say, and I’m saving the washed bud for edibles, so nothings wasted. I’ll dial in the technique for next run. I collect the trichomes from the 25 and 74 micron bags, I’ll keep them separated and from there I’ll press it into hash rosin.

Picture is from batch 1/4

Got 4x 2ml carts from 7g of Rosin. I had to use some liquidizer to get it more flowable, it was liquidy at 50c, but it would probably gum back up when coming down.

So if my math is right, I added about 1ml of liquidizer (instructions say 2ml/g but that’s uncarbed as well) so per gram they want you to be 1/3 concentrate, so I’m not expecting it to taste much like the “strawberry” it’s supposed to. So with their instructions I should come out with 21ml or 10 full carts. Shit would be weak, but we will see if it’s even smokable at this consistency.

I’ve made some posts throughout the journey, but any specific Qs feel free and I’ll try to answer them, but I ain’t no expert here.

Winded up taking about 3 hours at 200f until I didn’t see any more bubbles forming, it doesn’t appear to have recrystalized. So today I’m gonna warm it back up and get it into some carts.

It’s cold from the fridge, so not very flowable right now, so will likely need to use my flavored liquidizers, but the terpenes all didn’t boil off, still has a beautiful smell.

Bubble hash

And the resulting Rosin. Winded up looking more like butter though.

This is about 30 minutes into a potentially 30 hour process.

The oven is set to 200f, and you put the Rosin (or any concentrate of your choice is my understanding) in a mason jar and let her rip until all of the CO2 bubbles stop forming. This turns the crystalline thc-a into the liquidy thc.

From there I’m going to do a few carts a few different ways, I have liquidizers to flavor and help thin if needed, but in theory I should be able to put the decarbed rosin liquid right into a cartridge and go.

It’s “Live” rosin because I froze my cannabis immediately after harvest. The “Fresh Frozen” cannabis was than put through a bubble wash machine to get Bubble Hash. From there the Bubble Hash was dried and cured and then pressed into rosin. And from Rosin to here now.

Going to trim off some growth sites today and install the second trellis.

She filled the tent out beautifully though, still another week of stretch I’m assuming (hoping?).
