The thing is that I am eating very little. I am also almost in my 40s so my metabolism has started to slow down.

people always say this but like, do you just think 50kg of fat is the same thing as 50kg of muscle?

It's not, but without a diet change you're unlikely to convert fat into muscle like that.

I don't understand your point. It's possible to be healthy with or without excess muscle. It's not healthy to carry excess fat.
