I have no idea what you're trying to convey here.
Your post is a text post, with the link in the post body.
They are asking you to make it into a link post, that links to the article.
Copy the link from text field, into the url field.
Your post (1) is text post without link attached.
I want you to attach the link to the post itself as is done in the post (2).
I cannot view your link and I see nothing in the Fedia fields for making a new Thread that can be done differently than I did.
Giving up. Feel free to remove.
Fellow Mbin user here.
When I go and press edit on a text-only thread of mine, I get the following fields in order:
Your links show up in the post body, but the mod wants you to paste the original article URL into the URL field instead. If you're using another language than English, it might be named differently.
Alternatively, when making a post, you can decide between creating a "link", a "thread", a "photo" or a "post" (exact wording might differ between languages and instances). This is currently a thread, but they want you to pick the link option instead. But like I said, editing should include the ability to fill in a link without having to recreate the post as a link post.
Thanks! That worked just fine. So we're not using Threads anymore, just Links?
All posts can be commented on, so IMO all posts are also threads. Mbin just calls text posts threads for some reason.
Under the hood, the only mandatory field is the title. In addition to that, you can use either the url field, or the text field, or both.
If there is no link, it's a text post. If there is a link, it's a link post (but there can still also be text), if the link is a direct link to a media file (picture or video) then it's a media post (which can also still also have text).
