This seems to be the bigger red flag to me.
My girl friend works for FEMA and has been telling me that the private sector, i.e. hedge funds and government contractors are suddenly trying to hire people like her and offering 30% more than she makes now.
I bring this up because the oligarch plan now seems to be to drive out the people in government and replace them with private contractors and corporations. So basically we will be paying more for shittier service.
I know it’s the buzz word right now but it’s enshitification of the government. Drive all the competent people out, claim that government does work, replace the competent people with people who work for your buddy’s business and then your buddy gets richer while providing shittier service.
Also, being paid by a private company can pressure even the most moral of people into obeying orders to lie or release fudged information. Scientists hired by oil companies in the fifties to study the impacts of fossil fuels didn’t say anything publicly when told not to by their bosses. This is dangerous for everyone.
The piece mealing of our government is featured in project 2025. All accord8ng to plan.
