Russian expansionism slippery slope argument.
This will never happen, sorry.
Got that right.
Uh... Chechnya? Georgia? 2014 Ukraine?
I think you meant to refer to my statement of: "Russian expansionism slippery slope argument", right? Hope I am not mistaken.
After Russian defeat in 1st Chechnya, Chechnya proceeded to invade Dagestan in 1999.
You mean the war that the EU stated Georgia start?
It has been like 17 years since Russo-Georgian war that ended in Russian victory and there were no further invasion of Georgia afterwards.
You mean when the pro-Maidan movement conducted a false flag operation where pro-maidan snipers shot their own protestors in order to incite public backlash against Yanukovych? With this, they proceeded to overthrow Yanukovych’s government and then proceeded to attack anti-Maidan movement in the Donbas. Russia proceeded to conduct an air assault on Crimea as according to them, they made an agreement with the legitimate government of Ukraine before Maidan to continue their lease over Sevastapol. Russia stated that the formation of this illegitimate government threatened military infrastructure in Crimea which they rightfully owned due to an agreement with the previous government. Russia also named the crackdowns that were being conducted in Eastern Ukraine as a reason they needed to safeguard the lives of people in Crimea.
Proof of false flag:
Video appendix A
100 witness testimonies
Testimonies from 52 wounded victims
Over 80 witness testimonies showing that the fire came from Maidan-controlled buildings
Video footage showing that it was indeed Maidan supporters who committed the massacre
A mere portion of the evidence.
There are several hundred witness testimonies including wounded protestors, 2,000 videos, 6,000 photos, and 30 gigabytes of radio intercepts that proves it was a false flag operation.
The Maidan Movement overthrew the semi-democratic government of Ukraine, then proceeded to crack down on the anti-Maidan movement sparking a civil war:

With the help of GRU war criminal Girkin, the anti-maidan movement did not collapse allowing Russia to introduce further troops into Ukraine on August 2014 in order to support separatists which led to a victory over the Ukrainians resulting in Minsk which both sides violated which resulted in Minsk II which Zelenskyy failed to implement. Zelenskyy’s failure to implement Minsk and attempts to join NATO more or less is what started the 2022 war.
TLDR: It was not just Putin waking up in the morning and then thinking to himself, “seems like beautiful day to invade random country”.
The fact that Russia is the size that it is is the result of centuries of Russian expansionism.
Damn near every country is at its current size cause of centuries of expansionism.
