All desperately trying to distract from the fact that Putin has invaded and occupied part

810th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade was stationed in Crimea as per treaty with Ukraine as Russia made an agreement with the legitimate government of Ukraine before Maidan to continue their lease over Sevastapol.

Russia stated that the formation of the illegitimate government threatened military infrastructure in Crimea which they rightfully owned due to an agreement with the previous government so Russia conducted in support of 810th, an air assault on Crimea.

This invasion happened after Maidan movement seized the government and started mentioning that they will revoke the Sevastopol port license.

The unrest also gave Russia a nice excuse to also annex region.

In the end, most in Crimea accepted this, most of the Ukrainian military defected to Russia without a shot being fired, and Russian troops enjoyed their sausages.

Had they not, Ukraine likely would have conducted massacres in Crimea like they did in Mariupol.

How to prevent annexation of Crimea? Not have neo-Nazis overthrow the semi-democratic government.

then started a war and possibly WW3 by invading that country again

Perhaps Zelenskyy should have implemented Minsk as was expected of him. The war would have not had happened if he lived up to his campaign promises instead of capitulating to neo-Nazis.

You never answered my question.

Do you believe that the man who had his hands up and on his knees deserved to be shot by the Azovites, do you believe that the machine gunner firing shots towards a crowd was a nice idea, and do you think that shooting at ambulances is the best way to defend democracy?
