Larger farms at the farmers market. Quantity dictates price in farming. As small farmers we do everything by hand for example. Add a tractor and it drops price dramatically. For small growers it's not sustainable to travel to sell your goods no matter where you live unless you do local boxes. You're fortunate to have delivery honestly.

People will often do anything for cheaper food. The very thing they should be spending the most on and buying the best most, nutritious you can find, as it is literally the thing that sustains your life. Maybe that's just me though.

Again, price is not the only factor. I didn't say it was cheaper, I said it was BETTER and cheaper. My farmer at the market is Gmach and they are still quite small, but I do believe they are much larger than my crop share at Greenhart. I still go to the market for carrots, potatoes, kale, leeks, and other things that Gmach just does very, very well regardless of the price. The carrots are so good, I plan a few meals around them every week. It's weird getting excited about carrots, but they are just that good.
