Can we ban electoral signs? Do they even do anything besides pollute the visual landscape for a few weeks?

We just need generic, non-partisan ads that just say "Go vote"

No, you cannot ban my political expression, especially on my own property!

We can however ban them from public property, and also ban parties from producing and distributing signs.

If you want to make your own sign, you're correct that we cannot (and should not) ban that.

Correct, this is what I meant, political parties putting out their own advertising.

Their pollution continues to exist for decades to centuries after the election, creating a legacy that their candidates can only dream of.
