Honestly it's a wonder anyone was even born in England during this time period.

That's the thing: Victorians were dirty, horny fuckers.

There is a lot of evidence for this left behind in writing. It just wasn't socially acceptable, so doesn't show up in Victorian mainstream stuff -- much like now, I guess.
