Fuck, I forgot how sad that movie is.

It's crazy to think Anakin could have had everything he ever wanted. He would have been granted the rank of master in due time, he could have lived happily ever after with the woman he loved. But instead he was groomed and manipulated by some creepy old fuck. It's really sad.

Definitely as you get older you realize the Jedi were not perfect. They had grown complacent, and clung to ideals over common sense. Obi wan was the only one who saw anakin's struggle and said hey buddy I understand, but soon.

The council was too preoccupied with themselves to take the second and explain why. "Your power is great, but we're nervous of who is pushing you into this role. Give it time to allow us all to build trust and we're positive you will quickly become master". The fact that they didn't see that shows how blind they were
