In the Turner Diaries (ultra-right wing fan fic), all minorities are completely annihilated. But the killing isn't over. Then comes "the day of the rope". That's when all of the white liberals, trans, gay, and those who love POC are executed on mass. This event is a right-wing meme, and eclipses the complete genocide in popularity by a wide margin.

My point is that extremists tend to reserve their bitterest hatred for the "near enemy".
