In Europe we've the same discussion for the opposite reasons.
Do not let the cat outside, it will kills other animals.
It's really both. Eventually cat will get into an accident, but on the way there it will take a whole bunch of smaller animals and birds with it.
Never had a cat that got into an accident, though one of my current cats is an idiot when it comes to walking across the drive

This works for people with empathy who care. The former works for people who are selfish. Both are good to tell people. One may work where the other doesn't.

So, to your ridiculous rambling, the damage domestic cats do to the local ecosystem is damage that humans are causing. Which is why the entire discussion is about telling people not to let their cats outside.
But, one thing you need to realize is that just because the discussion is about damage caused by non-humans doesn't mean that people are ignoring the damage that humans cause.
It's like getting pissed off at BLM because the discussion is about black people and not all people.

So I live in an apartment which by virtue of going up uses far less space, I keep my cats indoors and take them on walks outside, and I didn't create a bunch of kids and instead chose to raise one that already existed. You can always do more.

What I'm arguing against is the hypocrisy that is being said in regards to cats and them being the destroyer of birds, as some have said.
They argue that cats kill all birds, and the poor birds are all dead because of it; without recognizing the fact that humans are the biggest displacers and destructors of fauna.
Let me get this clear. You think humans are responsible for the damage they cause to the environment and we should be aware and take responsibility for it, correct?
I don't think anyone disagrees with that evaluation. However, our impact is not only limited to what we build. It also includes our actions. We have hunted species into extinction, which is bad, right?
If that's bad, things we choose to bring with us we're also responsible for, and hunting things out of extinction that don't just go extinct from normal environmental changes is bad, then bringing cats with us that hunt things to extinction is bad, correct?
This isn't saying they're the only bad things were responsible for. That would be a ridiculous thing to believe. It's just saying we are responsible for them, and they do cause damage to the ecosystem, including full on extinction events on occasion. (See: the other comment here that includes a list of species that no longer exist because of cats.) You agree, right?
This is not what is being argued by your side, and you know it.

Cats are predetorial towards small birds that have massive numbers and who reproduce extremely quickly.
Humans take away birds' homes and food sources, kind of like what white man did to indigenous people in NA.

Yes, our effect on the environment is bad. That includes buildings and everything else. The cat we have as pets is native to around Turkey. If you don't live in Turkey then they don't fit into the ecosystem. They throw off the balance, and are not a healthy part of it. No matter what reasoning you use to justify your negligence, it's wrong. Just because you're a selfish asshole doesn't make you correct.
Ah, yes, the devastation the bald eagle has had, wrought on by house cats. Flamingos were eliminated because of housecats, and I remember these strange creatures called owls they used to exist before housecats got them all.

Stop being an asshole and assuming you can't be wrong. Obviously they haven't killed all birds. How ridiculous would that be. Humans haven't either, and I assume you agree we've caused deviation to the environment, right? Obviously there was be some level of harm between none and literally total extinction of all life, right?
You can use netting to keep them off or your garden or just grow enough to have enough after they need or both
