I always recommended LW because IMO explicit discussions about decentralisation (as opposed to a general statement that an American oligarch can't buy Lemmy) are counterproductive when on-boarding people.

On the other hand, should LW make a similar announcement to the Lemm.ee one today, the whole platform would be in big trouble.

It will compound the issue if lemm.ee users migrate to lemmy.world, so we should migrate to anything but.
