Even some of his supporters say Andrew M. Cuomo ran an aloof campaign for mayor that underestimated his chief rival, Zohran Mamdani.

We all knew who Cuomo was. His backers have no one to blame but themselves for thinking so little of voters that they would simply forget his many scandals.
