Raw egg yoke on top of raw salmon is a new one for me. Anyone tried that? Lil sketch id presume but if it’s clean and fresh i guess

Never had that but doesn't seem sketchy sanitary-wise, we can eat our eggs raw here without risk, the salmon would of course need to be sushi-grade. I do question the combination of flavours though, I love egg yolk and I love raw salmon, but together I'm not sure, I'd have to try it..

Not exactly the same, but I enjoy mixing sunny side up eggs into poké bowls.

Another name for this dish is salmon-ella

I haven't seen that and haven't tried it, but I know fish tartare is a thing, so that could be it

japanese chickens don't have salmonella (they test and cull) so they even have chicken sashimi and can get away with recipes like this with no worry. I see a lot of raw egg yolk dishes on XHS as well.

Salmonella is still pretty rare here in the US on eggs although it does happen; I have been eating raw egg for decades with no ill effects but of course everyone should watch out for their own safety! I am pretty healthy otherwise so i gamble.
