I stopped reading when it said “$2000 paperweights”. You can dislike Apple for any number of reasons, but this doesn’t make sense. Its products work just fine and they run the software that’s on them.

It becomes a paperweight once you install the software updates.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

No it does not. Anyone who refers to a functional machine as a paperweight should be involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.

Bro what? It's a greentext - it's 4chan. They all need theraphy.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Sure, but does nobody know what a paperweight is?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

No, they probably don't 😅 just like floppy disks. The term now generally means "useless"

Urban dic implies heavily on apple products too

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

That is literally the exact definition I am trying to explain to these worthless dumbfucks.

"Functional machine" is the working term here. But I guess we have different definitions of what counts as "functional" :)

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago

We do not have different definitions of a functional machine. If you think they’re overpriced, fine; underperforming per price:performance ratio? Fine. Whatever you want. But brand new Apple products work and you all sound ridiculous defending calling them paperweights.

Yes. The person who correctly points out that functional computers are not paperweights is a cultist. If you legitimately believe that, you need a whole lot worse than prison.

computers

Apple don't make computers, they make wealth extractors.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Seems like the anti-cultist are the real cultist

Apple hate threads don't contain main truths.

Consumers complaining about the products they don't buy is how they justify their choices. Literally no more complicated that than.

Like watching people who buy mega blok, complaining about how Lego sucks because mega block has a better ramps. Also, they once stepped on a Lego and they have a conspiracy theory around it.

These are the dumbest human beings on planet Earth. Not knowing what a paperweight is and then downvoting me for pointing it out should be subject to imprisonment.
