Most of it that has a listed price seems to be between 1,000-10,000 pounds, which is... steep, but not as bad as some antiquities.

Oh you're right! that's actually a bit of a bargain, I was expecting upwards of 10k for sure! I'm subscribed to the salesroom newsletter too so I do love a good bit of antique window-shopping ๐Ÿ˜‚

Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.
