Cycling infrastructure in Sweden? That is not possible! Let's be realistic: bicycles don't work six months of the year when it is cold outside. Bicycle tracks can't be plowed, winter tires don't exist and people can't wear warm clothing while riding a bike. Nobody ever leaves the house in winter unless they are safely surrounded by a big metal box with an air conditioner attached to it.

...or at least those are the reasons I've heard that explain why we can't have better cycling infrastructure in Canada.

I was never super fond of biking in the winter. There are definitely plenty of people biking year round though! If the option is there people will use it.

That's one more reason I would love to live in Sweden. I visited once and it was marvelous.
