Zombies, Fey, any weird shit in our fiction comes from "What if what we are to animals, but to us?"
Slasher movies are just that: we are the prey.
Very dumb prey in most of those movies
I Am Legend... are we the baddies?
Or the matrix robots, factory farming animals and not even giving them a chance to be free and hunted
At least they had the decency to create an artificial world for the human mind, we just let the animals suffer in misery waiting for death.
