Between propaganda and indecision, a whole generation will learn of conscription.
Denial on ethical grounds is possible though

Since 1995 this includes the right to become an objector while during active service.
They may try to recruit you for civilian service though, War does requires more then just soldiers. I am not sure to what extend those can be refused.
