What on earth does the USA stand to gain from this genocide? Is it oil? Is it to maintain an alliance in the middle east? Do they just want to see the entirety of Gaza made into rubble and dust?

It's the strategic position in the Middle East, primarily. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Israel intentionally provoked Iran as a way of saying to the US "you still need us".

It's not so much about what the US stands to gain as it is maintaining a longstanding political and military relationship. No country ends such relationships quickly, although there are signs that the relationship is weakening. Times are changing.

Sunk cost fallacy situation. They helped bring Israel up and have made god knows how much supplying them with weapons and setting up the iron dome.

The moment they consider making any definitively negative decisions regarding Israel's stance on the war, it'll be "antisemitic" and shit will fly.
