Not surprising. Nexus mods will remove literally any mod that a company asks them to, and have done this a lot in the past.

What do you suppose they should do instead? Get sued out of existence?

I'm not saying they shouldn't follow through takedown requests, just pointing it out. Nexus mods isn't the place to put mods like this.

They could be, easily. Sony wouldn't likely win, but all they really need to do is bury the operators in legal fees and subpoenas.

Yeah my bad thats what i meant. They could be sued but not successfully. If the biggest modding platform doesnt fight back then there is little hope outside of decentralized platforms, but preaching to the choir on lemmy with that one...
