I just hope Lemmy learnt something when they tried to censor comments on the issue. Meanwhile Reddit is looking like the free speech platform now.

That's a .world issue I feel.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 months ago

Yeah, they do their best to give the full Reddit experience lol

Wait, what? I can't find any info about this -- can you fill me in on what kind of censorship happened here on Lemmy?

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Lemmy mods kept removing threads because peasants were gloating over dead parasite.

Reddit some how just let it roll and holly fucking Batman, there is something raw about it.

Peasant class is really ripe for this message.

Zero tear shed, regime whores and owners can't even condemn the "senseless murdet" because they are in fear.

We always suspected Lemmy world mods being neo lib acolytes and they acted it on this issue.

Pathetic

About the current topic: https://sh.itjust.works/post/29020140

But in general, .ml and hexbear are full of censorship. .world seems to be rushing to catch up.

Edit: Speaking of .world catching up... it's now against their ToS to discuss your rights

That seems more "Lemmy.world" than "Lemmy".

And I thought it was established quite some time back that admins there go by what they think laws mean rather than actually consulting a lawyer.

That seems more “Lemmy.world” than “Lemmy”.

Well yes, but when .world is the biggest instance on Lemmy, it's understandable when people conflate the two.

Part of the problem of people being too used to centralization, and default instances in apps I suppose.

Thank you for links and explanation. It's disappointing to see some mods are going this direction.

reddit baned thousands of users who commented in those posts though

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 months ago

And yet all of the remaining comments are still gloating about the dead parasite and cheers the anti hero...

They decide to let plebs run wild as to not npiss them off
