Not sure I agree with the second take. Anyone that eats meat should be ethically required to take an animals life they will eat at some point so they directly know what it means to eat meat. If someone is uncomfortable with the thought of taking an animals life, why are they eating meat and paying someone else to do their dirty work?
I eat meat, but probably not as much as most people. I have butchered livestock and hunted in the past, taking an animals life is not a pleasant thing to do.
People are so used to how bad things are they don't trust improvement, even when it's real.

My sister in law is blind in one eye, but because she has one working eye she has no disability protection as far as I know. She still can't drive because she has no depth perception and it's very dangerous. It's made navigating going to work difficult over the years, often working the same place my brother did so he could drive her. Luckily her current employer works with her and lets her work from home. But a decade ago no one would have dreamed of letting her work from home.

It's amazing to me how focused these comments are on the child being "evil" and not the environment that created this situation. A child isn't born believing that shooting their teacher is a viable solution to their problems. At 6 years old you're barely functional. For this to happen they had to exist in a profoundly fucked up environment with no moral compass and access to a lot of information, presented without good context, far above their age. Everyone responsible for raising this kid should be held responsible.
This kid needs years of therapy and support and a loving caregiver. Before the age of 10 children are incredibly impressionable and still undergoing very basic core development, until the age of 25 people are still in development to some level. There are many years ahead where this child can be saved from themselves. There is no reason to call a 6 year old irredeemable.
Monitor mounting arms that connect to the back of the desk. I have 3 times as much room on my desk now. It's amazing how much room monitor stands really take up. It's not just the actual stand but really the surrounding area because you can't really set any large objects in the vicinity. It really is a game changer to gain a lot of desk space.
Not exactly traumatic, but certainly not pleasant to look into somethings eyes and take it's life. A lot of men pretend it's a fun experience to be macho, but I think most people do not enjoy taking an animals life.
