I first thought I read a comic about LSD

Because it 90% is.

The missing 10% are because they might accidentally ate the wrong mushrooms.

You can get there without chemical aid.

Everything is alive and we are just a group of people riding on the back of a great big turtle

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

The turtle moves!

Or a giant bull on an even bigger fish, depending on your reference.

That's me <3

I hate it when people come along and then try to project any meaning onto all of this or anthropomorphize it. I think the most impressive thing is rather that all these abiotic and biotic entities and interactions exist without any greater plan to them and without any aim. Just one thing leading to another. And I love how it all just exists :)

Same. Nature doesn’t need some greater purpose or plan. It is pretty great all on it’s own. That is why I absolutely love Nonlinear Dynamics so much.

I found this quote by Lao-Tzu from the book Tao The Watercourse Way by Alan Watts, especially apt,”Whenever there is no desire, one beholds a mystery; Whenever there is desire, one beholds the manifestations.”

It's all beauty and marvels until the mosquitoes arrive.

Somebody is enjoying the natural science of cannabis

Sunlight, all light really is absolutely fucking mind blowing.

Hell, all things are absolutely mind blowing when you get down to the point that you're discussing excitations of this or that specific field...

I was thinking more along the lines of psychedelics

Seattle sunny days in a nutshell.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Sunny days just after a rain are even better. The plants are happiest, the birds are out hunting worms and bugs. Plus you just got a free car wash*.

*Pollen not removed, just caked on further.

Oooooorrrrrr, this is fucked, that's fucked everything if fucked and nobody is paying any attention. Just because it's beautiful doesn't mean it isn't fucked, we're all fucked.

That's your choice of perspective and it makes your life harder :)
