Google's keyboard is weird with this, it doesn't know what I'm trying to spell whenever it's a word I'm not as familiar with. I end up looking up the word old school and then typing it in

When I run into this on my iPhone, I just say the word with dictation and it usually spells it right for me. The autocorrect has gotten worse but the dictation has remained quite good.
Yup. I've had to Google words on my phone and copy paste them, because the keyboard couldn't help.
