I don't think Dems like leftists very much either, considering how the Democratic Party has treated all candidates who are even remotely left of center, and how they basically shout at leftists that "they're supporting Nazis if they won't support their genocide."

Depends on the Democrats you're talking about.

The conservative Obstructionist Democrats are the only ones I have an issue with. By contrast, AOC, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee etc. all Democrats I can work with, np.

Democrats and caving to a single obstructionist, name a more iconic duo.

Democrats and finding a new obstructionist when the current one retires.

AOC unfortunately showed her true colors recently when confronted by pro-palestine protestors. Very disappointing. Luckily Bernie has been nothing but consistent.

Not sure what you're referring to, she's been a consist voice for the student protestors and Palestine. You'll need to be specific.

AOC is still fine, and has started accumulating actual power for the progressive caucus through her weilding of funding. That's why there's constant attempts to make her out to be some phoney, she's effective.

I'd love to believe that. But she did take forever to acknowledge the genocide. Are you saying videos like this of which there are MANY are faked to split her support?

It's almost like liberals all want palestine wiped off the face of the earth or something🤔🤔🤔

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

And the conservative plan is?..

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

The same, but faster and with a lot more direct support. I'm agreeing with you that AOC isn't a good ally to Palestine, I also don't know of any liberals that are any better. I'm clearly not advocating to vote for Republicans who wanna "finish the job", I'll prob still vote for Biden even, I just hate that almost all Democrat voters and politicians are so desperate to cover up the evil shit being done by the IDF with American weapons, and are convinced acknowledging that will make Biden lose (tbh they might be right, I get the strong feeling most democrats wouldn't vote for Biden if he did anything meaningful to slow down genocide in Gaza)

Do not try and bend the democrat; that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth… there is no progressive democrat. Then you'll see that it is not the democrat that bends; it is only yourself.

The matrix being an allegory for leftists escaping electoral politics is an appealing interpretation.

Leftists to the democrats as they're both being led to a small room underground with a sloping drain in the back and a Trump 2028 banner on the wall:

"This is all your fault."

The point isn't who's fault it is. The point is that both of them will be going up against the wall if trump wins. Laying blame won't save either of them.

Wouldn’t this post being controversial suggest that it’s a flat “No”?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago

I think a 50/50 split would actually be appropriate for this meme.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I literally don't know the difference. I see so many different political affiliations. Would either of these people be considered liberals? Honest question.
