Lewis became conflict avoidant in his later years, Max is willing to crash still. Different styles of defending.

Verstappen 10s penalty is not enough for costing lando the race that he would have won
Lando still had that 5 second penalty for track limits, he might have got around max but who knows if he couldโve built a 5 second gap in like 5-6 laps
Max also had a potential penalty pending for not giving the position back that he gained off the track. At least Jolyon Palmer thought so
Ended up not getting that, though weโll never know if he might have had he not hit Lando
Itโs absolutely insane to me that they penalised a driver for locking up and handing the position back. Whatโs the point of racing?
It shouldโve been clear to a driver of his calibre that he wasnโt making that move, and even if he didnt realize that.. he had gone off three time already when F1 drivers are supposed to be of the calibre to stay on track. Once during a dive isnโt a big deal, the problem is heโd already gone off three times.
These guys should be able to stay in the lines at the peak of Motorsport and driving for millions of โฌ a year
If youโre opinion is to follow the letter of the law in that sense, how do you feel Verstappen didnโt even get a warning let alone a penalty for moving under braking?
He shouldโve, feel like he didnโt only because the wreck happened, that they penalized him for, and his race was hampered enough that they didnโt add more on. Sometimes the stewards act like if your race is ruined due to X then they donโt need to enforce Y. Iโm not sure I agree there

Man, I really would have liked to see how that battle between verstappen and Norris turned out on track. Max is defending too aggressive. But even if Lando would have come through, he would have had to make up his track limits penalty. This is really disappointing.
I agree. I am a Max fan but not when he drives like this. I really hoped the โoldโ Max was a thing of the past but it seems he pops back up under extreme pressure.
Nah, Max never matured. He just stopped being challenged. If heโs challenged, he reverts to full asshole. โI win or we crash.โ
