Anyone saying they are fiscally conservative and not backing projects with massive ROI for the country (infrastructure, climate, single payer) are just trying to excuse the fact that they are selfish to the extent of supporting bigotry in order to make a few extra bucks.
Funny thing is if you're fiscally conservative you'd vote for Dems, they bring the deficit down. Republics blow up the deficit.
That's been a trend for decades now. I wonder if that's the reason why I don't hear "fiscally conservative" being thrown around as much anymore 🤭
