Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Summary

Donald Trump reinstated "Schedule F" via executive order, reclassifying thousands of federal employees as political appointees, making them easier to fire.

The move reverses protections reinstated by Joe Biden in 2021, which aimed to prevent partisan interference in civil service.

This aligns with Project 2025, a plan to replace career civil servants with ideologically aligned personnel.

Critics warn this could degrade government performance, reduce trust, and increase corruption.

While legal challenges are expected, experts believe Schedule F is likely constitutional but will face strong opposition in courts and beyond.

Now that SCOTUS is natzified, the rest is easy. This guy can literally murder political opponents with indemnity (Trump v. US). This country is too stupid to deserve democracy. Let it burn.

There's no such thing as democracy. We had a representative republic for a while, I think. Then it began to metamorphosize into a corporate oligarchy, now it is completing that transition and then some.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Do something about it then or stop whinging.

  • Sincerely, the rest of the world.

ANYTHING!

(Gestures wildly to every point in history where democracy was fought for)

You've got 3 firearms per person, fucking use them and stop acting helpless.

Lol, the advocate for anarchism sits comfortably in his mom's basement. Come on over, homeboy. We could use you.

  1. Not an anarchist, socialist democracy enthusiast.

  2. Rent my own place and contribute to society.

  3. I'm dealing with issues in my own country and therefore getting my own house in order. Sort your own house out or stop whining that you're wallowing in sadness and garbage.

You don't have to take up arms, but that's a huge risk when confronting those whom have and want to end your democracy.

Just do SOMETHING: join one protest, or distribute one leaflet, or donate one time to an organisation that'll be resisting against the orange fuck.

I mean, what hoity toity bullshit that you think you can tell someone else what to do when you can't handle your own shit. Come on over here and solve all of our problems, asshole. You're very welcome to. Sounds like you have other stuff to deal with. Just shut up.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Correction, I'm handling my own shit whereas you're unwilling to handle yours, and thus we arrive back at my original point: do something about your shit and stop expecting someone else to do it for you.

Lazy.

Who's expecting you to do anything? When have you ever done anything? I promise, nobody in America is counting on your dumbass to do anything for them. Just sit there and observe. You'll probably learn something.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Who's expecting you to do anything?

You, in your last reply...? Let me quote you:

Come on over here and solve all of our problems, asshole.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I already suspected that sarcasm might be little beyond your grasp

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

What a terrible reply.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 months ago

Por que no los dos?

[–] [email protected] 67 points 2 months ago (2 children)

It's step one in project 2025. Thanks to all non Harris voters and Trump voters america and possibly the rest of the world are completely fucked. If you didn't vote for Harris because of Palestine or any other stupid reason, know that it will be much worse with Trump and know that I completely despise you. You know get what you deserve and won't have the chance to vote for someone better ever again.

[–] [email protected] 27 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Fuck the Democratic party for being so unbelievably rigid in their political plans too. We were railroaded into having Kamala be our candidate and she offered nothing but condescension and business as usual. Despite that, fuck anyone who didn't vote against this happening. Your moral grandstanding will usher in four years of deep uncertainty in the lives of every single innocent person in the world.

[–] [email protected] 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

four years

An optimist eh? This was the last free and open election for a long time, and after Trump's brag about Elon tampering with Pennsylvania's voting machines I can't say this was free either.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I keep seeing references to this. What did he say, exactly? And has anyone written extensively about this?

....as if Gaza is the only or the first terrible thing America has ever done. But for some reason that was considered a reason to give us donvict and punish everyone in the country while also assuring Gaza will be worse.

If a single man can take away your protected status, you were never protected to begin with.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 months ago

This is a point well worth making and repeating.

If there isnt a law recognizing your labor rights, you serve at the whim of the executive. True in government and true in the private sector.

Day 1 dictator

[–] [email protected] 30 points 2 months ago

Project 2025. It's their plan. They wrote it down.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 2 months ago

So we can expect thousands of confirmation hearings?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago

the US is doing up to be ruled by literally the mafia, in all but name. they're removing the checks and balances

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Fun Fact salt water kills electronics. Pour it on the servers.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Random Joes can do far more damage far easier than that. People with server access are extremely rare compared to random people and that damage is limited too.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 months ago

Did I specify which servers? I mean all of them. Both government and private.
