Summary

Caroline Kennedy urged senators to reject Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination as head of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, calling him a "predator" unfit for the role.

In a letter, Kennedy accused her cousin of troubling behavior, including a past fascination with violence and drug use, and criticized his lack of relevant experience.

She also condemned his anti-vaccine activism as dangerous and hypocritical, noting he vaccinated his own children while discouraging others from doing so.

RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.

The way I see it from the comfort of a country with universal health care: RFK will be the new Secretary of Health, kids will die of measles and polio and thoughts and prayers will be sent.

The fallout of anti-vaxxing will overburden the healthcare system and affect everyone. People will die and it will be nobody's fault.

Just like we handled Covid then. Brilliant.

No, I mean America.

People will die and it will be nobody’s fault.

We know exactly whose fault it is.

Yup, typical old-school Democrat, making their thoughts known via a strongly worded letter. Did she send a copy to the Editor while she was at it?

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 50 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Da fuq would you have her do? She holds no position in any of the branches of government.

It's better than the usual Republican way of making their thoughts known which usually consists of a shoddily built bomb left on the doorstep or anonymously phoned in threats.

I wouldn’t mind some shoddily built lefty bombs or anonymous phone calls to republicans.

So, a republican endorsement?

Exactly. This is just going to have them frothing from the crotch in excitement.
